Finally! You've got your website launched. It's live and ready for a flood of visitors. Have you thought about how anyone will find you? Do you have a plan or idea on how to market your new website? What good is it to have a website if no one knows about it or where it is? To be successful in your chiropractic internet marketing venture it is vital to direct traffic to your website.
Listed here are 7 points that will drive traffic to your website. Use one or use them all. I would suggest the latter, because there is no such thing as to many links pointing back to your site.
#1. Pay Per Click
This refers to the ads you see when searching for keywords on the major search engines. These ads show up on the right side of the page when someone searches for keywords. When the ad is clicked on, you pay a fee and the person lands on your website. Make sure you set it to within your geographic area. You don't want to spend your preset spending limit on clicks from the other side of the country. Take your time with this you want to get the settings correct or it could be costly.
#2. Blogs
A blog is basically a website that makes it easy for regular updates to be posted. Search engines love blogs, and will rank them higher than static pages on the same topic because blogs are fresh content. If you can send an email, you can post to a blog.
#3. Articles
Submitting articles to free article directories are a great way to generate traffic to your site. When writing articles, you want to keep them within 500-800 words. Include your town's name and keywords you want to get like "chiropractic" or "decompression" in your article. Create a resource box with a short bio of you and your website's link.
#4. Videos
Videos are easy to create and since most people have high speed internet, they are great to use. Make a short 2-5 minute video educating prospective patients on your services. Upload to the major video share websites. Be sure to submit it with your website link embedded in the video and mention your town in the description when posting the video.
#5. Press Releases
Press releases can be submitted online at various press release sites at no cost. It will get picked up and listed on the major search engines news sites. This should be informative, not an advertisement. Be sure you write it in a "newsworthy" tone and with a catchy news headline. Search the web for free press distributors online, register and publish.
#6. Trade links with other businesses
If you know other local businesses in your area, you can trade links to your sites. A great example would be a health food store with a website. This will create more traffic and increase your search engine rankings. Remember to use link keywords like "Your Town Chiropractor" along with your website address.
#7. Mail postcards and run newspaper ads
The most costly option of the suggested list, however, it also could have the highest return on time and money. Request a list of homeowners through a list site and send out small or large postcards, with a headline, informative text and a couple of testimonial excerpts. Offer a free report on a specific condition and give the website address so they can visit your site. You could spend about .40 cents per address. You can also run an ad in your local paper with the same information given pertaining to the postcards. You will not have postage but rather an invoice for the cost of the ad.
